Receipts Then and Now: The changing trends of storing and organizing spending software

Receipts Then and Now: The changing trends of storing and organizing spending software The digital, paperless, and cloud terms dominate the financial technology sphere right now. It is no secret that items are becoming more and more online. This is beneficial for many reasons. One I would like to focus on today narrows in on digital receipts, what this technology’s future looks like, and why you’d want to become acquainted with this process sooner rather than later. Let’s dive in. Digital receipts are not uncommon in retail stores. Places like Apple have embraced digital transactions long ago. the connectivity between their point-of-sale (POS) and your email is already so intertwined that its process is a no-brainer. However, only some stores are Apple. An abundance of retail purchases we make still offers that small, hot piece of paper we either ignore or throw in the recycling later. This is a huge waste of paper, time, etc. Other stores feature a device that allows us to send receipts to our email, but there are drawbacks to this, too; emails get lost in our inbox, which in the grand stream of things, are pretty easy to overlook. Not to mention the time it takes to type our email into the iPad sitting at the front counter. While email receipts are a great alternative to paper, they still mark a difficult transition. They are hard to track and organize. In the future, we know digital receipts will be extremely accessible and easy to manage. It is predicted that every receipt will be digital. We will be able to track every purchase we make, categorize them, and store and archive them in efficient ways beneficial to both buyer and seller. Before that time, we must find a solution to this molasses-like receipt economy that benefits us, our time, and most importantly, our spending. Consolidation is the key to organization. At Yubilly, the focal point of our design and implementation is bringing things together to grant users a simple action that saves them headaches. Rather than email receipts, Yubilly allows users to pay and track receipts instantaneously. Our QR codes jump the email hurdle and upload receipts straight from payment. Collecting this information right away makes daily financial tracking nearly automatic. Benefits of digital receipts app: Better arranged: Digital receipts are stored in a consolidated location: The Yubilly app. Forget about scrolling through your email for that one digital receipt. Organizing and recording each receipt in folders isn’t necessary. That’s our job. Make spending easier to track: With every receipt in one place, our spending becomes much more digestible and clear. The visual layouts of the Yubilly app reflect our habits and allow us to see ourselves unabridged. Overlooking: Imagine pure, perfectly balanced transaction reports. Categorize your purchases automatically, and never miss a receipt again. Saving: Now that your receipts all fit tightly in one easy-to-use application, track and manage your habits in real time. Make better decisions, see where your disposable income is wasted and unnecessary, and look for patterns that can be optimized. The first key to everything is awareness. The landscape of collecting receipts is still being determined as the paper receipt phases out. While email is a temporary solution, we know this platform is designed for communication, not financial tracking. A more sustainable and efficient method is on the way; don’t be late. Try Yubilly today.

The Underlying Health Issues of Paper Receipts: Why their impact is being studied now

The Underlying Health Issues of Paper Receipts: Why their impact is being studied now   The receipts we receive for purchasing things are typically printed on thermal paper coated with 2 chemical compounds: Bisphenol-A (BPA) or its chemical sibling Bisphenol-S (BPS). BPA and BPS are compounds that support the heat-activated printing process. They are essential for printing receipts quickly, on the spot. Without these chemicals, the receipts would be very dangerous items. However, a bigger, more subtle issue runs through these paper receipts, hot printed off the price. Through the skin, BPA may enter the body uninvited, causing and instigating potential threats and a plethora of health issues. Firstly, the chemicals BPA and BPs, as found on thermal receipts, are connected to weight issues and neurological issues like attention or mood. It has been demonstrated that each chemical is dangerous to human and animal reproductive systems. According to research, cashiers’ bodies had higher levels of BPA than those in other professions. This is no surprise. Regular reception processing might be especially worrying for growing teenagers of either gender and pregnant, breastfeeding, or reproductive-age women who are more at risk to such calamities. Therefore, it’s crucial to avoid exposing newborns, young children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants, toddlers, and women who may become pregnant to BPA and BPS. Additionally, it’s important to avoid putting thermal receipt paper in your recycle or compost container. BPA and other chemicals that wind up in wastewater from recycling plants may impact other types of paper, causing greater quantities of BPA and BPS. In many American communities, these papers are considered contaminants in the recycling stream. With health in mind, we have sought a solution to the growing, long-term impacts of thermal receipts. Yubilly. Yubilly helps sellers deliver receipts directly to your phone or email. Finally, they serve as proof of payment without a paper trail. These receipts are frequently regarded as more handy because they are less likely to be lost, do not fade, and do not necessitate the use of paper. Benefits of digital receipts app: Better arranged: Digital receipts are kept from getting lost or forgotten as quickly as paper receipts and are easier to organize. Scanning a digital receipt is significantly faster than reviewing your paper receipts and looking for the correct one. Make spending easier to track: Paper receipt tracking can be time-consuming and error-prone. With e-receipts, however, your purchases are instantly linked to your account, so you only need access to your phone or laptop. Operating Effectiveness: By speeding up the processing and handling of paper receipts, digital receipts increase operational effectiveness. No longer are employees required to manually enter data from each invoice into the accounting system of the business. They are now able to concentrate on other things that need their attention. Reduce manual data entry errors: Manual data entry is time-consuming and always runs the risk of human error. Both of these problems can be solved at once with digital receipts. Save paper and ink costs: Let’s take a closer look at how much each paper receipt costs. The cost of purchasing it follows the cost of producing paper. After purchasing, you will need ink and a printer to print on the paper. All of this affects numerous businesses. Digital receipts do not require any paper. This means that you are eliminating any unneeded expenses. As a result, you can put such funds towards other aspects of your company’s operations. So, the Yubilly digital receipts app can help you switch to a paperless office – and it will show you how easy it is to do it with an Invoice. That’s all for today! Let us know your most effective opinion and advice.

What do SME owners miss when deducting their income taxes?

What do SME owners miss when deducting their income taxes?   Despite everyone telling us that tax season is upon us, SME owners still don’t know they’re eligible for tax deductions and often miscalculate their deductions. In Canada, the law requires SME owners to pay income tax at the federal, provincial, or territorial levels. SME owners constantly struggle to maintain a positive cash flow and their tax deductions perfect, especially in the post-COVID situation. One thing all SME owners can agree on is that the tax bill is always high. Yet SME owners often overpay on their taxes every year because they don’t know what expenses are tax-deductible. If you’re an SME owner, your business is taxed on profits, not revenues. This is a crucial factor when understanding how to make your tax deductions. If you fail to disclose your earnings accordingly, you will be overtaxed. Here we offer some standard tax deductions for SME owners that will help you leverage your liability and avoid being over-taxed. Vehicle Expenses Even with gas prices soaring through the skies, vehicle purchases are being held every day. The interest payments are tax-deductible if you’re planning on financing your car using a loan. Also, you might be eligible for the trip expenses deduction depending on the type of vehicle you own. Office Supplies Daily use of office supplies can also be deducted. From pencils and folders to highlighters and notebooks. All the basic everyday office supplies. Computers, laptops, tablets, and fax machines can be deductible if you classify as a commissioned employee. Telephones And Utilities After the initial wave of COVID-19, a vast majority of the population started working from home and has stayed that way. Freelancers and SME owners have been working from home to make a living. If this is the case, phone and utilities, such as gas, oil, electricity, water, and cable expenses, can be tax deductible.  Communicating with clients and coworkers can be expensive. The good news is that these expenses are tax deductible. Office landline costs are 100% deductible. This includes any mobile phone under the company name as long as the “personal” use is kept to a minimum. We can help Yubilly offers a simple way of tracking your expenses. You can get all your electronic receipts safely stored and displayed in the same place by using the unique mailbox Yubilly gives you. Paperless Finance: How it makes saving money simple

Paperless Finance: How it makes saving money simple The simplest, and perhaps most important aspect of financial literacy is the ability to track, save, and budget our expenditures. Financial literacy is inextricable to the well-being of our lives and families. This is common knowledge. But it’s not common practice, is it? Studies have revealed that globally, financial literacy is shockingly low.  With all of today’s technology, we have to wonder, why is this the case? There are many pathways we could sift and dribble through to explain this phenomenon. However, the simple truth is that people don’t have the time. At least, they don’t think that they do. In fact, some of the most significant problems facing the economic landscape are crises of attention.   We’re busier than ever because we’re more distracted than ever. Rushing to the store and tapping the debit card or Apple Pay service to get what we need quickly, never thinking to stop and actually catalog the transactions. Thousands, and thousands of transactions. As inflation rises to the worst highs in decades it is of course imperative for the individual to make a change in their expenditure tracking. Saving well, budgeting, and making smart financial decisions– these are not merely habits to acquire through the use of tools and fancy frameworks. Our purchases and transaction history are quite adept representations of our personalities and lifestyles. They are psychological, to say the least.  Save for actual necessities like rent, mortgage payments, food, or hydro, we buy things out of emotion. We buy things because we are happy, we buy things because we’re afraid, angry, impulsive, sympathetic, curious, passionate, and so on. It seems that the key to correcting our purchasing habits is to adjust our attitudes. This starts, of course, by taking a very close look at an itemized list of everything we’ve purchased in recent history. To no surprise, there is an abundance of studies displaying a problematic relationship between our smartphones and subsequent spending habits. They operate by the same cognitive reward system. Not to mention that the physical ease of buying something online has become astoundingly simple, it’s at the touch of the fingertips. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes we can buy something good on a whim, however, the reality is that the majority of financial troubles result from repeating bad decisions.  If smartphones are part of the problem, the answer is not to avoid them, but to embrace their educational capacity. We should use them to our advantage. For the last several years Yubilly has worked on making this process smooth, effortless, and dynamically informative. We want to bring the ease of financial excellence to the palm of a hand.  Now, to convey some practical advice, I would like to bring forward some findings of the Yubilly Market Research Team. The change from paper receipts, why we should stop the usage of paper receipts

The change from paper receipts, why we should stop the usage of paper receipts We’ve sneaked into the neighborhood convenience shop for a piece of fruit or a fast fix of chocolate, swiped our cards, scrunched up the excessively long receipt that the self-service machine reeled off, and carelessly stuffed it into our pockets. There is almost little likelihood that we even considered this piece of paper as we went about our days. We have all done it. Most receipts are discarded and never looked at again so why use them? It is dangerous to the environment & a form of mass pollution! To put it in perspective, to produce the ‘poisonous littering’ paper receipts, just the US uses more than 3 million trees and 9 billion gallons of water annually. Now that isn’t very environmentally friendly, nor does it contribute to the planet, rather damages it drastically per year. Trees are cut to make paper for receipt machines & fresh water supply is used excessively to produce such products. It is sickening. Put the water & trees aside, to produce such paper receipts, the amount of co2 gases which are produced as a by-product is obnoxiously high which is poisoning our fresh air & ecosystem. How much co2 gas could that possibly be right? To put things in perspective, the production of receipts generates over 4 billion pounds of CO2 emissions and 302 million pounds of solid trash (the equivalent of 450,000 cars on the road).  Another bad fact about paper receipts is the amount of landfill it produces. People discard receipts immediately, often dropping them or putting them in the bin that makes up millions of kilograms of landfill. Are paper receipts used correctly or beneficial these days? It is stated that 9 out of 10 consumers in the US & around the world do not want paper receipts anymore but rather want to move to a more eco-friendly, paperless electronic form of receipts. Often, consumers complain that they had misplaced or lost a receipt for a product or purchase of services within a week. This is important if you have to do refunds or prove that you had paid but what if you lost the receipt? It is now invalid. This wouldn’t happen with electronic backed-up receipts which can be stored in more than one storage device or cloud storage device. Besides, the world is moving away from traditional manual style receipts such as paper receipts & adopting an application-based receipt storage system like QuickBooks to name one. This change is out phasing the traditional paper receipt method which in after is helping the environment recover from such landfill pollution, air pollution, or the degradation of our forests & water supplies. It is safe to say that paper receipts are not as beneficial as they used to be back before the technological boom of the 2000s however some companies are still stuck with outdated POS systems which do not allow for electronic eco-friendly paperless receipts to be issued like a regular paper receipt would be. So to sum up, there is still relevance of paper receipts in today’s society however it is slowly being phased out by the more up-to-date electronic paperless eco-friendly receipt solutions. Conclusion The advantages of doing away with paper receipts go beyond environmental issues, although they do raise issues like how to deal with people who don’t have access to the internet and privacy issues.  Traditional paper receipts produce so many harmful factors to the environment such as poisonous co2 gases which measure up to 4 billion pounds a year which is the same amount as 450,000 automobiles driving around all year round, degrades water sources & our forests to supply companies with paper & makes up millions of kilograms of landfill per year on our beautiful planet. The switch to the electronic eco-friendly paperless receipt systems will help reduce the amount of co2 gases produced whilst manufacturing paper receipts to almost 0, will help produce more trees and grow our forests whilst retaining our fresh water sources & will help combat the millions of kilograms that paper receipts produce in landfill per year on our planet. What is an Electronic Receipt? Advantages & Disadvantages of e-Receipts.

What is an Electronic Receipt? Advantages & Disadvantages of e-Receipts. In the traditional business setting, often companies would issue paper or hard copy receipts to their clients to provide proof of payment being made for the goods or services they had provided. In the 21st century, more & more companies are moving to the online world, with that adopting an e-receipt or electronic receipt method, rather than the traditional hard copy or paper receipts. So, what is an e-receipt or electronic receipt? Digital receipts are known as e-Receipts. A consumer receives an electronic receipt from you as proof of payment. E-receipts are entirely digital, as opposed to having a tangible paper receipt. Digital receipts are becoming accepted as valid purchase documentation and tax-time evidence in several nations. That’s a wonderful invention that reduces the amount of documentation you must keep! Consider the fact that, in some cases, you must retain a record of all of your financial transactions for 6 years in a country where you are required to keep receipts. Paper receipts could have easily been misplaced or destroyed during that time. Thankfully, most financial institutions and governments in the twenty-first century let firms use electronic receipts to satisfy their legal and tax obligations. So now that we know what an e-receipt or electronic receipt is, what are the advantages of using such systems today? What are the advantages of electronic receipts? It is safe to say that the advantages of e-receipts or electronic receipts are rather extensive, ranging widely across the board. Below are the reasons to switch to electronic, paperless receipt systems: Businesses Adore Digital Receipts Digital receipts offer businesses the chance to sell their products and services. With Yubilly, businesses can save money by not having to buy paper or toner cartridges to print customer receipts. Because receipt printers are frequently specialized equipment, they are no longer required when retailers provide receipts via email. Save money, time and paper When printing receipts on paper, it’s frequently necessary to utilize a specialized printer and specific paper. The usage of digital receipts can help you save these costs as well as the price of toner cartridges. With Yubilly, you can help reduce paper use since it is completely digital. When you buy something and you make a payment, Yubilly directly creates a digital bill so that you can easily track your expenses and make your accounting process less stressful since you can store your bills in your mobile via Yubilly.  But surely there are downsides to having a paperless electronic receipt system, right? Well, there are a few downsides to consider. The Disadvantages of Electronic Receipt systems While there are big advantages to adopting the ever-so-practical paperless, eco-friendly electronic receipt systems of the new technology era, there are some small downsides to consider, these are listed below as the following: Your email address is known to the retailer, company, or organization; therefore you may anticipate receiving more spam. Information is sold by retailers to outside parties. Digital receipts could become blocked by spam filters. As you can see, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages in the eco-friendliness electronic receipt battle here today. Conclusion Whilst the move to the electronic paperless receipt may seem daunting & a little frightening, the move is most likely going to make things easier & just overall better whilst being eco-friendly as a bonus. Making the change is a simple process with applications & systems readily available. Of course, there are disadvantages to the advantages however weighing it up, it is worth the switch to electronic paperless receipt systems today. References 6 advantages of keeping digital receipts.
